Current Bid Opportunities
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA,) operator of the Wheels bus system, is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide services for an engine repower project.
This Project shall include the furnishing of all labor and services as set forth in the Scope of Work section of the Request for Proposals (RFP). A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at LAVTA, 1362 Rutan Court, Suite 100, Livermore CA on August 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Prospective Proposers are highly encouraged to atend this meeting, but attendance is not required.

REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS - LAVTA Radio Communications Planning Study ( RFP #2010-04)
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), operator of the Wheels bus system, is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide services for a radio communications planning study. This Project shall include the furnishing of all labor and services as set forth in the Scope of Work section of the Request for Proposals (RFP). A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at LAVTA, 1362 Rutan Court, Suite 100, Livermore, CA, on July 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Prospective Proposers are highly encouraged to attend this meeting, but attendance is not required.
All Questions and Requests for Clarification must be submitted in writing by July 20, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Proposals must be received in the LAVTA Administrative Offices by 2:00 p.m. on September 3, 2010. No proposals will be accepted after this time and date. Any proposal or amendment to proposal received after the closing time will be returned unopened to the sender. No Proposer may withdraw its proposal for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the opening of proposals. Each Proposer will be notified of award of contract, if award is made. LAVTA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposal or in the proposal procedure, or to postpone the proposal opening for good cause.
Firms submitting a proposal to this RFP may be required to give a demonstration and presentation of their proposal to LAVTA from September 7-9, 2010 (estimated date). Engagement staff will be present at the presentation. LAVTA’s request for a demonstration or presentation shall not constitute acceptance of a proposal.

INVITATION FOR BIDS - LAVTA Engine/Transmission Replacement Project (IFB #2010-11)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT sealed Bids will be received by the Administrative Services Department of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) at its Administrative Offices, 1362 Rutan Court, Suite 100, Livermore, CA 94551, until 2:00 p.m. on August 13, 2010 to provide for the mid-life replacement of medium and heavy duty engines, as well as Allison Transmissions in a combination of LAVTA owned motor coaches, in accordance with requirements of the Solicitation Documents, at which time they will be read.
The Invitation to Bid may be requested in hard copy format at the Authority’s office or is available online.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m on June 22 , 2010 at the LAVTA Administrative Offices, llocated at 1362 Rutan Court, Suite 100 in Livermore, CA. At this Conference, members of the LAVTA staff will be available to answer questions pertaining to the Contract Documents and Specifications. The Conference should take no longer than an hour and Bidders are highly encouraged to attend.
