WHEELS ANNOUNCES SERVICE CHANGES
EFFECTIVE Saturday FEBRUARY 13, 2010
Livermore, CA - January 15, 2010 - The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA),
operator of the Wheels bus system announces service changes effective February 13, 2010, on
routes 10, 12, 70 and 202. Riders are encouraged to review the schedule of their regular routes,
as most timetables have been subject to some revision in order for customers to connect to
other routes more efficiently. Below are the major changes that have taken place as part of the
new effective schedule.
SERVICE CHANGES
- Route 10 – weekday schedule has been adjusted to improve service reliability.
Saturday and Sunday schedules are adjusted to provide better connections to BART.
- Local routes in the Dublin/Pleasanton area – have been adjusted to better connect
with the current Saturday and Sunday BART schedules.
- Local routes in the Livermore area - have been adjusted to better connect with the
revised route 10 schedules.
- Route 12 – the weekday schedule has been adjusted to improve service reliability. Route 12 may experience additional future delays and reroutes in Livermore near Isabel
Ave. due to the construction of the new Interstate 580/Isabel Avenue interchange in
Livermore. The Saturday schedule is adjusted to provide better connections to BART.
- Route 70 – The schedule has been adjusted to provide better service reliability.
- Route 201 – This is a new route which operates one morning and one afternoon from
Fallon Road in East Dublin to Dublin High School on school days only.
- Route 202 – This route has been modified to serve East Dublin primarily on Central
Parkway and Dublin Boulevard. The route operates one morning and one afternoon trip
to Dublin High School on school days only.
The new Wheels Rider’s Guide will be available soon aboard Wheels buses, the Livermore
Transit Center and at all Tri-Valley libraries. You may preview the new schedules online at
