Wheels operates bus service dedicated to Middle and High Schools in Dublin and Pleasanton. Regular service is available during the school year with limited summer service. Routes 10R, 30R, 14, and 15 service certain schools in Livermore. Please refer to the routes below for regular school service.

School Route Schedule Adjustments
Route 605 & Route 611 – Effective Thursday August 30, 2018: In order to accommodate the Thursday late starts at Amador Valley High School, the morning schedule on the Routes 605 and 611 on Thursdays will be identical to the existing morning late start schedule on Wednesdays.

Route 602 & Route 604 – Effective Friday August 31, 2018: In order to accommodate the new Monday and Friday late starts at Foothill High School, the morning schedule on the Routes 602 and 604 on Mondays and Fridays will be identical to the existing morning late start schedule on Wednesdays.

Student Transit Pass Pilot Program
The Alameda County Transportation Commission is continuing a pilot affordable student transit pass program to support ridership to select middle and high schools in Alameda County. Participating schools for the East County planning area are Livermore High School, Del Valle High School, East Avenue Middle School and Christensen Middle School. All students at these schools will have access to a free Clipper card good for unlimited rides on Wheels and Rapid buses during the 2018/19 school year.

Class Pass Program
Our Class Pass Program offers free bus rides for up to 25 passengers (includes students, teachers and adult supervisors) for school related trips on regularly scheduled Wheels and Rapid bus routes. Teachers may request up to two class passes per school year. Please call Customer Service at (925) 455-7500 for more information or to schedule your class pass. Try Transit to School
For the 18th year, LAVTA is offering its Try Transit to School promotion that enables Tri-Valley middle and high school students to ride free on all regularly scheduled Wheels and Rapid bus routes for two weeks. This year the promotion runs from August 20 through August 31, 2018. The free rides are not limited to school trips. Students can also use this opportunity to ride transit to hang out with friends or for work, shopping and other activities. To take advantage of the promotion, students simply board a Wheels or Rapid bus and ride. No ticket or pass is required. Click below to see a flyer about the promotion.
