For the 18th year, LAVTA is offering its Try Transit to School promotion that enables Tri-Valley middle and high school students to ride free on all regularly scheduled Wheels and Rapid bus routes for two weeks. This year the promotion runs from August 20 through August 31, 2018. The free rides are not limited to school trips. Students can also use this opportunity to ride transit to hang out with friends or for work, shopping and other activities. To take advantage of the promotion, students simply board a Wheels or Rapid bus and ride. No ticket or pass is required. Click below to see a flyer about the promotion.
School route schedules are sometimes adjusted due to early and late start times and early dismissals. Click below to see a list of schedule adjustments by month. August School Route Schedule Adjustments

DO NOT try to encourage students and their parents to ride your busses to and from school if your busses are already overcrowded and bursting a the seams! My son stands for close to 1 hour each way every day to go to Dublin High in your busses because there is no room to sit. It's so full during his commute and from school, he's not even able to bend over to tie his shoe laces. Either add more busses to the commute line during the morning and afternoon rush or stop trying to promote your service to our community here in Dublin. #AddMoreBussesNOW
