A community survey has been released to gather feedback on two alternative routing options for the 10R in downtown Pleasanton, as well as input on potential changes to Pleasanton school tripper service in response to shifting demographics, demand, and upcoming changes to PUSD attendance boundaries.

Community Workshop Presentations

RT 10 Changes

  • Neal Street is narrow and high pedestrian activity are safety concerns
  • Queuing vehicles block the bus stop at Neal Street & First Street
  • Right turns from First Street onto Neal Street is difficult for buses with queuing traffic
  • Traffic can delay buses by up to 3 minutes

School Support Changes

  • School boundaries have changed
  • LAVTA has limited vehicles to expand school service
  • Some routes are crowded
  • Some routes have lower ridership
  • Some low ridership stops require deviations which inconvenience others on a crowded bus
  • There are safety issues with navigating a big bus through a residential neighborhood with parked cars
